Building Your Network Marketing Business — Learn From Top Acheivers

Building your network marketing business takes commitment.

To have success in network marketing or any other business, you’ve got to look at the long-term. Of course you want to plan to be profitable as quickly as possible. But you need to plan for how you will build your business week after week, month after month, year after year.

A lot of people say they aren’t looking for “get rich quick,” but if they aren’t making fistfuls of money within six to eight weeks, they are history. It may take longer.

It seems most people come into MLM without a great networking database from their past. To build in MLM, you must have a database, so that means they have to create a new group of people who know, like and trust them. You can’t do that overnight.

First thing you need is to build trust with well-targeted prospects. You can do that by providing real value, something that costs you nothing or very little, but which is very valuable to the person you give it to.

This may be an ebook or audio or video or some other piece of content which will really help out your prospects. And in exchange, they’ll give you their contact information and permission to talk with them. Remember what Humphrey Bogart said in “Casablanca,” that “could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship!”

To make your fortune in network marketing, you have to plan long-term. Plenty of people just figure, “I’ll try this for awhile.” The chance of success with that lousy commitment isn’t very good.

First, it’s a real key to focus on the idea of building relationships and to realize that relationships just take a “forever” commitment. Nobody says they’ll try marriage for three months and see if it works. You can make a good, stable income in MLM, when you use a system that works, and when you have chosen a good company.

So let’s assume you’ve got that part. Next, you have to really strengthen your own commitment. Identify each specific task you’ll be doing. Plan a regular schedule each day to do these tasks. Where will you be? Who can you get a hold of to quickly answer questions?

You want quick access to a successful system-user who is getting good results with it right now. You need to see in a hurry by your own experience that your system works, or you’ll find excuses not to do any work. Most of these business tasks, you realistically cannot do them while you are babysitting. You have no real opportunity for success. If you’re making phone calls, you have to be sure to set aside time that you can give prospects your undivided attention.

Network Marketing Success–is Your Self-talk Keeping You From Success?

Anybody who has been successful in Network Marketing will tell you that mindset is important.  People who know they can succeed do…and those who think they probably won’t don’t!  One of the things that has a major affect on your mindset is your self-talk. 

You know the little voice in your head?  It might give you a pep talk when you’re down, reminding you that you’ve done hard things before and succeeded.  Or it might tell you that you might as well give up now because this is never going to work.  Oftentimes we don’t consciously think about our self-talk, but it can be a major factor in having Network Marketing success…or failure.

Become Aware of Your Self-Talk

The first step to using your self-talk to help you create success in your network marketing business is to become aware of it.  Keep a small notebook with you for a few days, and write down what you are telling yourself. 

When you are alone with your thoughts, your self-talk is more active.  Driving in the car, taking a shower, going for a jog…these are all ideal times for you to tune in and be more aware of your self-talk.

Analyze Your Self-Talk

After a few days, take a look and what you have written down in your notebook.  Are the thoughts you have about yourself negative or positive?  Are they realistic? 

Sometimes when you look back at what you have been telling yourself, you can see that your thinking is flawed.  Maybe you are being too hard on yourself; you have unrealistic expectations.  Or maybe you are constantly making excuses and blaming others for your shortcomings.

Realize That You Are In Charge of Your Thoughts

It’s your mind, and you are really the only person who has control of your thoughts.  If your self-talk is not helping you to be a successful Network Marketer, you must realize that it is within your power to change your thoughts.  When you make the conscious choice to stop negative self-talk and take steps to do so, you will see the improvement in your Network Marketing success…and in your life!

Keep Your Self-Talk Positive

Focus on using positive self-talk.  If you have used negative self-talk for years, it won’t change overnight.  Make a list of the negative self-talk you engage in most frequently.  Make a list of positive alternatives.  When you have a negative thought, you will already be prepared to replace it.

For example, my background before starting my Network Marketing business was in the mental health field.  I realized that when I experienced difficulty, I would tell myself that I couldn’t be a successful Network Marketer because I didn’t have the correct background.  The negative self-talk was keeping me from reaching my goals.  I changed the thought to acknowledge that I didn’t have business background…but neither do most successful Network Marketers.  By choosing a business where people of all backgrounds can be successful, I could (and would) be successful, too.

Accounting/bookkeeping

Accounting jobs or bookkeeping jobs, even just plain old number crunching jobs can often be done through data entry work from home. The home worker may be entering data into accounting records, or performing payroll functions or tracking expenses of some particular type for a large corporation.  For example, you may be entering information on insurance claims or medical charges. Since most accounting and bookkeeping functions today are automated, this type of work is mostly repetitious and doesn’t require a lot of imagination, but it can get pretty boring.  Still, if you like detailed work, this can be just the job for you. 

Data Base Management

Large corporations often have large files or databases about employee information, customer records, or various other types of information collection and storage files.  Completing entries for refunds or rebates offered to customers is a task often done by people doing data entry work from home. This is also fairly repetitious work and can get monotonous.  However, accuracy is critical.  The opportunities in this area of data entry work are numerous and growing daily, as more companies realize the advantages of having contract workers for much of the day to day work.
