Hell is Other People is a feature film (currently in production) written and directed by Jarrod Whaley. A dark comedy, generally speaking, the film combines a very dry sense of humor with naturalistic and character-driven “straight” drama.

This 30-second spot was produced for The AIM Center (a Chattanooga, TN non-profit dedicated to the social reintegration of adults with persistent mental health issues) to publicize a fundraising event. It aired on local television in the weeks leading up to the event.

Pieces is a darkly surreal cinematic concoction. It is a dream-like rendering of forced collegiality under undesirable circumstances. It is a snapshot of subconscious pressures stemming from the fear of change, and the inability to improve one’s situation despite, and paradoxically due to, those pressures.
